Samsung Seeks New Blockchain Partnership With Seoul
Samsung sets up a strategic agreement based on blockchain technology to reach a new agreement with the Seoul government
Samsung in it intent for future expansion of the industry into blockchain technology to the entire public sector, Samsung and Seoul city government will have to reached a new agreement.
According to report from “Korea Herald” Samsung’s software solutions development department will participate in the Seoul municipal government’s project to establish a strategic plan based on blockchain information technology .
Seoul’s Metropolitan Government plans to apply blockchain technology to urban welfare, public safety, transportation and other areas by 2022 and further enhance transparency and citizen convenience.
Samsung CEOWon-pyo said: “Samsung’s blockchain technology and consulting capabilities will help make Seoul a world-class city.”
At present, blockchain technology is being applied more and more in the field of online financial transactions, because of the existence of distributed digital information in blockchain technology.
Earlier this year, Samsung SDS applied its blockchain platform Nexledger to its affiliated Samsung card. Last month, the company also tested blockchain applications for logistics systems, including shipping companies including Hyundai Marine traders.
