Major US Museum Becomes third Museum to Start Accepting Cryptos as Payment
An educational facility and museum in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, Great Lakes Science Center will start accepting BTC as a payment method.
Starting from November 13, 2018, Museum fans in US can now pay via cryptocurrency using App on their phone. The Great Lakes Science Centre is the third museum in the US inaugurating Bitcoin payment method.
CEO of Great Lakes Science Center, Kirsten Ellenbogen, said the institution has decided to accept cryptocurrency to promote the growth of the local Blockchain ecosystem.
Kirsten Ellenbogen, President of Great Lakes Science Center, said in a statement;
“There is a lot of excitement around the conference,” and “Accepting bitcoin is just a small part of the momentum to grow a blockchain ecosystem in Cleveland.”
The main idea that the institution was bearing in mind while taking a decision to start accepting crypto was to ensure better condition for the growth of the local blockchain ecosystem.
This is the third museum to accept bitcoin in the US. Museum of the Coastal Bend, St. Petersburg Museum of History in Florida and now, the Great Lakes Science Center are the three museums in the country that accept crypto as payment.
