Crypto Market Increased Slightly After Hearings on Tuesday
Crypto markets increased slightly on Tuesday (February 6th) after the sharp fall on Monday.
This slight market rebounds could be attributed to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Commodity Futures Trading Commision (CFTC) hearings that took place on the 6th of February. The regulatory bodies plan to discuss cryptocurrencies, Initial Coin Offerings (ICO), and ETFs.
Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) rose to 4.59 and 1.65% over a 24-hour period, trading at around $ 732.13 and $ 0.70.
Bitcoin (BTC) is still trading around the $ 7,000 mark, about $ 7,171.42 per press time and up 1.28 per cent over a 24-hour period. That’s nearly $ 1,000 up from a low today that was reported at BTC at nearly $ 6,000.
The total market capitalization of crypto is approximately $ 339 billion, up from a low of $ 276 billion.
Altcoins NEO and NEM increased due to a report at CoinMarketCap, up nearly 12 percent each over a 24-hour period and are trading at $ 91.40 and $ 0.51 per press time.
